I can't wait for this album to drop! James Lavelle's UNKLE project returns with a new album this summer. ‘War Stories’ will be released in early July. As usual with UNKLE, the album features a swag of guest vocalists, including Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age, Ian Astbury from The Cult and 3D from Massive Attack. As the vocalist choices suggest, ‘War Stories’ album promises to shift UNKLE’s sound in a more rock direction: Queens of the Stone Age producer Chris Goss helps out behind the decks, while most of the instrumentation on the album is played live. Lavelle makes his vocal debut on the album, singing on ‘Hold My Hand’ as well as dueting with Richard File on ‘Morning Rage’. The album artwork features specially commissioned paintings by Massive Attack’s 3D. The limited edition CD contains a 50-page booklet and the main album will have a 32-page booklet, both of which will feature photographs taken in the Joshua Tree, where the album was partly recorded. ’War Stories’ tracklist Disc One 01. So for the second time in my life I've successfully opened up my powerbook and fixed sommething in it myself (take THAT applecare!) it's scary as hell since I rely on this thing so darn much, but thankfully it went well... and if anyone's wondering what I fixed, my power adapter would not make connection for the longest time, i had to wiggle it around and do all sorts of ugly things that I didn't wanna do, so I opened it and saw cleaned the connector a little bit, it's a lil worn out from wear and tear over the years, but working ok nonetheless... and my trackpad was acting up, when i would single click something it would double click... annoying as hell as u can imagine, turns out just a few loose screws, so that was that.. btw that isn't a pic that I took, i didn't gut my sucker as bad, but it was still scary
What's bombing a buncha drugged out clubbers going to accomplish?? http://www.turbanhead.com/weblog/2007/04/30/strangeways-here-we-come/ Five members of a British al-Qaeda cell were jailed for life today for plotting to use fertiliser bombs to blow up the Bluewater shopping centre, the Ministry of Sound nightclub and other targets across the UK including gas and electricity supplies. The ringleader of a plot that would have claimed hundreds of lives, Omar Khyam, was told that he would have to spend at least 20 years in jail - but all five men were warned that they may never be released. “You have betrayed this country that has given you every opportunity,” said Sir Michael Astill, QC, the judge at the Old Bailey. “All of you may never be released: it is not a foregone conclusion.”
